This year the party was hosted by the city of Lappeenranta and greeted by the Chairman of the City Council. After the formal part of the information event, we had a very special guest appearance by one of the most well known Finnish personality - and, it wasn’t Kimi Räikkönen.

Despite the recent lack of snow even in Lappeenranta, Santa Claus himself was able to visit and greet KWC teams from all around the world. With his help, we were able to hold a raffle in order to find out the singing order for both Thursday and Friday. All competitors get to sit on Santa’s lap and pull out Christmas decorations with numbers from Santa’s many bottomless bags. After everyone got to visit Santa and pose for a picture, we had the singing order for both days.

Holiday Club Saimaa is only a one month and is situated in Lappeenranta’s picturesque suburb called “Rauha” (which directly translates to “Peace” in English).

The core program of Karaoke World Championships 2012 will be held between 28th of November and 1st of December, but all visitors should prepare to spend few extra days at Holiday Club Saimaa for bonus program and possible freebies during 27th of November and 2nd of December.

We will start to post more information on Karaoke World Championships 2012 program and accommodation packages soon, but in the meantime, enjoy these videos and pictures of Holiday Club Saimaa.
