Karaoke World Championships Confirmed for Stockholm November 2014

It was announced today that KSF Entertainment Group has acquired the parent company of Karaoke World Championships Oy KWC Organization Ltd. Since 2004, the team at KSF Entertainment Group has produced the Championship Finals. KSF Entertainment Group is a multinational company built around technology and dedicated to karaoke. The Championship Finals will take place in the Solidaritet Arena venue in Stockholm, Sweden in November 2014.

The announcement was made when Luca Gargano, Event Producer, Karaoke World Championships Organisation, travelled to Stockholm from Helsinki to finalise the contract with The Ahlbom Group of Stockholm, owners and operators of some of the finest bars, restaurants & nightclubs in Stockholm for the past 30 years.

In excess of 25 countries are expected to participate in the Championships, which will take place from November 13th to 15th 2014. National trials are conducted in each participating country with the winners competing in the International finals for the titles of male and female Karaoke World Champions. The participants, along with their families, supporters and karaoke enthusiasts from all over the world are expected to converge on Stockholm for the event.

The Solidaritet Arena, in association with Events4U, supported Stockholm’s bid to host the 2014 Championships. Peter Ericsson of Events4U, official Swedish partners of the Karaoke World Championships, put Stockholm forward as the host destination.

“I have travelled to numerous World Karaoke Championships and always wished that Stockholm would some day host the World Championships. The newly built Tele 2 Arena complex with it’s wonderful restaurants, karaoke bar, bowling centre, mini golf and the Solidaritet Arena nightclub venue provided everything one could ever ask for as a location”.

“Stockholm’s world renowned beauty, museums, shopping and sightseeing combined with its rich music culture makes for the ideal location for our international guests. The venue and hotels are only a 20 minute train ride from the airport and the city is within walking distance of the arena,” said Peter Ericsson.

There are on going negotiations with both local and international television companies who have expressed interest in broadcasting this year’s finals as well as filming for an upcoming documentary. Fans and supporters worldwide will be able to watch a live stream of the entire event on the web and details will be posted as the date draws near.

Events4U has already begun working with local tourist agencies to offer a variety of activities for the guests wishing to take in the sights and perhaps visit the new ABBA museum. For more information, visit www.karaokeworldchampionships.com
