Biography
„I'm nothing special, in fact I'm a bit of a bore…“ Born and raised in Reykjavik, as the youngest in a big household, Hannes played Cello from a very young age. He later learned to hit some notes on the piano and started singing in a boy choir. At heart, a shy chess and Bridge playing STEM nerd, he then broke out in to a ballroom dancing stage performing kid, becoming a triple threat as a youngster. After finishing a diploma in contemporary dance along side collage, Hannes sadly stuck to his logical roots and studied pharmaceutical sciences at the University of Iceland, but didn’t last long until he also took up rhythmic musical studies at FÍH as a singer. After graduation from UI with a MS in pharmacy and then an added diploma in Business Hannes worked for over a decade as a (dancing and singing) pharmacist and even license holder before leaving that field – but is still singing with his male choir, Karlakórinn Esja (see Youtube). I am, there for I sing! … „Without a song or a dance, what are we?“
